On March 6, Karina Martos celebrated her 9th birthday at RCHS and in lieu of presents asked her friends to donate to the animals. She raised over $190 for shelter pets!

Children from GirlScout troop 1420 donated over $130 to the shelter. The girls saved their own money and did chores in order to help animals at RCHS.

 

Taylor
Taylor Hooper hosted her 5th birthday party at RCHS. Instead of gifts, Taylor generously asked her friends and family to donate supplies to the shelter.

 

Water Walker Tribe
On Saturday, June 27 the Water Walker tribe of Adventure Princesses came to RCHS for a tour of the shelter and donated $263 that the girls made by doing chores around the house.

 

OceanaOceana
Girl Scout Oceana Haaland earned her Bronze Award by completing a service project where she recycled cans for funds to create a dozen beautiful, hand-sewn cat dancers which she donated to the shelter cats.


 

Stephen,Rachel,Logan
Stephen Gonzalez, Rachel Gonzalez and and Logan Snodgrass stopped by to give home made treats to the dogs at RCHS.  The boys are completing a 6th grade math project for their teachers at El Camino Creek Elementary.  They chose to make dog treats for their math project and they wanted to donate them to a worthy cause--RCHS, of course!

 

Maranda
Young entrepreneur, Maranda a resident of Rancho Santa Fe, donated $400 as a result of selling her handmade product, "Holiday in a Bottle" and selling bags emblazoned with positive environmental messages.  Ten year old Maranda states, "I really want to help animals and make the world a better place".

Jenna & Shannon of Carlsbad raised $50 by having a snow cone sale to sponsor "whoever needs it most".




Joshua donated $459.00 that he earned during the summer doing math with his dad and completing miscellaneous summer jobs. Pictured with his pets Kira and Chase, Joshua is 10 years old and loves animals.



Nicholas celebrated his 11th birthday with friends who gave gifts of three $10 Petco gift certificates, toys and treats to donate to our animals.



Kalli & Eden donated $19.25 from their lemonade stand.



Catina spent time during the summer break to raise $33.47 for the animals.



Just before summer break, Mrs. Mills 2nd and 3rd grade students raised $300 for the animals.



Caitlin and Joanna from La Costa Canyon High School raised funds to purchase supplies for the animals.



Olivia sold Gatorade and raised $20.50 for the animals.




No photos for the following:

 

  • Students in Mr. Flake's 4th Grade class at La Costa Heights Elementary created wonderful home-made dog treats in class and at home and donated them to the dogs at RCHS. The dogs are very grateful for all their tasty snacks!

  • Ashley Falls Elementary students raised $551.47.

  • Girl Scout Troop #1063 donated $50.

  • On November 13, 2009 girls from the St. John's School and Girl Scout Troop #1214 came to the shelter for a tour and donated $342 that they raised selling dog treats at their school.
