About our Humane Education Programs and Workshops
Rancho Coastal Humane Education offers classroom presentations that teach children the importance of being kind to animals, being responsible caregivers, dog safety, spaying and neutering. Students will learn important lessons through these presentations that may include stories, puppets, an educational activity and/or animals.
We also offer shelter tours of our facility to children 6 years old and up that include how we take care of our animals and find them homes and meet one of our shelter animals up close.
Adult Education and Workshops
Adult workshops are designed to train professionals such as educators, humane investigators, veterinarians, law enforcement officers, prosecutors, judges, domestic violence and child welfare advocates, adult protective service professionals, and other anti-violence advocates to recognize the connection between animal cruelty and human violence, and to intervene effectively before violence occurs.
Shelter Tours - Guided Tour of Our Facility
Presentations, tours and workshops are compliments of RCHS. However, we invite you to offer a cash donation, sponsor an animal, purchase a memorial tile or choose an item from our wish list that will benefit the animals in our care.
To book a presentation, tour or workshop please contact our Humane Educator at 760-753-6413 or e-mail at education@rchumanesociety.org.
